The Adult Basic Education Program offers free materials and instruction in basic literacy, citizenship, English as a second language, employability and life skills, as well as instruction in basic reading, writing, and math.
The program also offers preparation classes for adults (16 or older) who desire to earn their GED diploma. The classes are designed to help each individual, and students may enroll at any time. Completion of the GED pretest, which is given each week at the Lincoln County Works Center, is necessary prior to taking the GED examination. The GED examination is offered in Ruidoso on the third Friday of each month. |
